Exhibition activities of the CCI RM

Among the services highly appreciated by the representatives of the business environment in the republic, are the exhibitions activities carried out by Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country and abroad. These services contribute to the promotion of domestic goods in new markets and facilitate the transfer of experience and new technologies.

Thus, the longest and successful project is “Made in Moldova” – the largest national exhibition. It has already 19 active editions. Being a multi-specialized exhibition, thousands of local producers have participated in it, having the opportunity to present their products and services to their loyal, potential and new consumers, to learn their behaviors, to promote themselves, to come every year with innovations, and also to conclude contracts and collaborative reports that helped them to grow significantly.

Another project of this kind was initiated by the Business Events, Fairs and Exhibitions Department (DEATE) of the CCI RM in 2016. Its concept involved an exhibition similar to the “Made in Moldova”, the difference being its development abroad. So, it was entitled “The Republic of Moldova Presents”. At first, it conquered cities from Romania, a country that was and remains the main economic partner of the Republic of Moldova. Exhibitions were organized in the cities of Prahova (1 edition), Iasi (3 editions), Brasov (2 editions), Baia Mare (1 edition). Following the participation, Moldavian producers opened stores in Romania, found distributors, initiated agreements of intent, contracts, etc.

The collective-country-stands represent another exhibition activity of the CCI RM which enjoys a remarkable success. In recent years, exhibitions with collective-country-stands have been organized in countries like: Poland, Belarus, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the Russian Federation. The country-stands aim to create the most favorable conditions for the domestic producer regarding the diversification of his foreign market and without doubt, to promote the image of the Republic of Moldova.

Besides national exhibitions and collective-country-stands of local producers, the CCI of the Republic of Moldova pays special attention to study visits in various international programs and exhibitions. Every year we have more and more companies wishing to participate in such programs. In the last 3 years, for example, visits have been organized through the International Program “Buyer’s Mission” to thematic exhibitions in Poland, Greece, Turkey, Italy, India and the United States. The participation in such programs and B2B meetings allowed companies to find partners and to take international best practices.

And now, more recently, in the context of the peak of development and rapid innovation of the information technology system, CCI of the Republic of Moldova has created the platform www.virtual-fairs.md , which will lead to the promotion of national companies and products both regionally and internationally, increase sales and exhibitor visibility.

The access to the virtual-exhibition platform, available to any potential buyer or partner, allows the exhibitor to promote, test and sell their products (in the form of contracts and commercial agreements). The expected result of using the platform is time saving, cost optimization and simultaneous reaching of a variety of consumers. In other words, the company’s participation in a virtual exhibition is part of the strategic plan to maximize the return on investment.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova has always aimed to support and promote economic agents, and the exhibition activity is only a step towards achieving this goal.
