The World Expo is the third largest event in the world with economic, social and cultural impact, after the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. Participation in such event is a unique opportunity to promote and strengthen relations between different nations.
Given the situation created by the spread of COVID -19, the 2020 edition was countermanded for the period October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022. Also, in this context, the organizers of the world exhibition developed the application “Expo 2020 B2B” where companies of countries participating in the exhibition and also, those who do not participate can be registered. They will have the opportunity to create their own virtual profile, which will include in the section for participants, the contact details of the persons designated by the companies.
Among the main advantages offered by the application is the option of establishing face-to-face virtual meetings with the companies present in the application, as well as the possibility to create a database of contacts. The application is available from October 21, 2020 until the end of the event.
Access to the “Expo 2020 B2B” application is free for companies that have confirmed their participation in “Expo World Dubai 2020” and for the sponsors of this event. Non-participating companies will pay a registration fee, the amount of which will be communicated in the near future. The deadline for creating the profile of interested companies, is December 16, 2020. The application will be officially launched starting with January 2021.

Note: The Republic of Moldova will participate in the international exhibition “Expo World Dubai 2020” with a National Pavilion with an area of 393 square meters. The concept of the National Pavilion involves the exhibition of the most representative articles, products, symbols of our country in the context of the general theme of the exhibition: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.
For the Republic of Moldova, participation in this event is an opportunity to highlight itself globally, promote Moldovan cultural values. The exhibition is serving as a communication platform for intensifying trade-economic, cultural-tourism, scientific and technological relations, as well as the opportunity to present the country’s potential in the fields of agriculture, industry and IT, technology transfer in the renewable resources, etc.
“Expo World Dubai 2020” is the 4th event of such magnitude in which the Republic of Moldova will participate, first being present at World Expo – 2000 Hanover, Germany, then at Expo 2010 Shanghai, People’s Republic of China and in 2015 in Milan , Italy.
